Pete Rock Announces ‘Village Soul’ DJ Residency In NYC

Are You Ready For Another Treat from Pete Rock?

Once a month Pete Rock and his favorite guest DJ alongside Deadly Dragon Sound will play the finest in Soul, Reggae & Hip Hop hosted by The 303 at Louie & Chan, located where the lower east side and old Chinatown connects; and its free and open to NYC music elite (RSVP is mandatory and is the only requirement).

Pete Rock was asked why he decided to launch this type of DJ residency here in NY, he says “I love Soul, I love Reggae and you know I love Hip Hop. I don’t think enough DJ’s are playing what they love and what they have been inspired by. I am going to have a place for them to come, DJ and chill. That’s my life and passion and I am going to continue to share it with my hometown and world. And yes we are playing vinyl.”

This Friday November 7, Pete Rock’s guest will be DJ Muro from Japan. Late night dining will be available from 12 to 2am and it will be the first of many great NYC nights.

Don’t Miss It!

Also, be sure to listen to Pete’s new Time Is Illmatic mixtape: which was premiered by last week.
